Kayla Christiansen

 

   Kayla’s professional experience in higher education began while working as an enrollment advisor for Ashford University.  During this time, she found she truly enjoyed helping people achieve their educational goals, and is excited to have a similar opportunity here at Lon Morris College.

   Kayla grew up in Jacksonville, where she attended First United Methodist Church and participated in many school clubs and sports.  After graduating from JHS, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Journalism in Advertising from the University of Nebraska.  She enjoys volunteering, and has taken part in many different activities, including serving as PTO vice president and a member of the school site council at Buena Vista Elementary.  She also volunteered as a little league team mom, and helped with many other school and community events while living in Oceanside, California.

   Kayla is married to Joel Christiansen, and they have one son, Alec.  In her spare time, Kayla enjoys painting, reading, and playing board games with her family and friends.
